A natural way to protect my herb garden?

I started growing and herb garden outside this summer, and sadly my basil plants are almost unusable because bugs of some sort are eating away at the leaves. They are starting to move on to the other herbs too now. I’ve read that dish-soap and/or garlic solutions work, but won’t that contaminate the flavor of the herbs if I spay it directly on the leaves? Is there another option?

If anyone out there has experience with growing herbs, please let me know what worked best for you!

Spray them with a mixture of water and cayenne pepper and sprinkle diatomaceous earth around your garden.

Yes dish washing liquid does work take a bucket of warm soapy water and wipe down both sides of the leaves with a sponge my green house teacher always used joy saying it was a milder soap but you need to separate your plants to avoid infesting your other herbs and it will not affect the taste as it is only soap not a harmful pesticide if worried before harvesting just double wash the leaves do this at least twice a week in a separate area away from other plants and you will see an improvement remove all destroyed leaves from the plant till it recovers

It will help to strengthen the plants with a good fertilizer while doing the above with soap and water.

Here is the best organic food for your plants – well help give them a stronger aroma/taste too.
