About garlic storage: is it advisable to store garlic in a vacuum container or have them vacuum-packed?
From what I’ve read so far, vacuum-packing prolongs the shelf-life of food. Is this type of storage applicable to garlic? Why?

Check out the website. They sell it like that so it must be OK for the average consumer to do it their selves.
I have never vacuumed sealed garlic, however you can clean it and store it in olive oil for several months or so.
Most garlic will last for several months if kept in a dry, cool place. I keep mine in the garden shed only bringing into the house to eat or if it is going to freeze and it lasts for 9-10 months.
