Anyone familiar with Indian seasoning?
is coriander the same as cardamon?
jeez.. you guys are mean. i’m trying to make my friend chia tea cookies, something i’ve never made before. i was just wondering if they were able to be substitued. thank you for answering, i guess.

no, they are not the same.
coriander is cilantro, and cardamon is cinnamon, or somethin like that, they are not the same!

they are totally different spices. Indian seasoning is spices like curry, garam masala, turmeric, cumin etc. There’s a whole bunch of them.
Cardamom is a flavoring agent. You need cardamom to flavor your cookies
Coriander is an emulsifying agent and added in curries as a thicker emulsifier. Please don’t add coriander to your cookies. It wil do no harm but thats not what you need
Corriander is a kind of herb plant, where as cardamon is a seed. They are not the same and do not have the same flavour. I hope this helps!
