Are basil leaves left in the fridge for two weeks still good?
The leaves have dried a bit and turned a little brown, but no mold or anything has grown on them. Are they still good to cook in some tomato basil soup?

Personally I wouldnt use them, just dont risk it,go and get some fresh leaves.Having said that,as long as they arent soggy and slimy,I am supposing that they wont exactly do any harm if you tried using them, although they definatly would have lost their flavour..Go and get some fresh ones!
If they have been in your fridge for two weeks I would toss them out now. Fresh herbs shelf life is short. No matter how well you treat your fresh herbs, you can realistically expect them to last for only about a week.
Hope this helps. :0)
they are fine, at my restaurant the basil is just trimmed and added to the soup and there is no problems, all that happen to any herb is that after a while they lose there potency
good luck
nope. Go buy some more fresh. Fresh herbs should be used imediately when you buy them. They have a shelf life average of only about 3 days.
