Are the poppy flowers at walmart the same poppy flowers used to make drugs?
I saw a packet of seeds that said poppy and had a pink flower on the package, is this the same plant?

It is ornamental poppy but it is related to the same poppy. The drug is extracted Fromm Papaver somniferum plant (poppy plant)
Which can also be bought from any garden centre or online.
They do in the uk anyway, if they were grown outside our weather is not great so the sap extracted would not be anywhere near as potent as say from Afghanistan.
