can you add tomatoes to a fajita?
im making fajitas with pepper onion and cumin (vegetarian) and i was thinking of adding something else to it. would tomato go? even though im still serveing a salsa with it?

ya it’s okay to add some tomatoes ,, as long as you like it
If you want to add it, go ahead, you won’t know until you try it. Everybody has differents ideas
I would suggest a pico de gallo vs. a salsa, and then skip the tomatoes since pico is already loaded with tomato.
Here’s a pretty good recipe for some pico:
don’t call it a fajita unless it has chicken or beef. What you will have is more of a vegitable burrito.
Sure – sauteed tomatoes are good. Just add it towards the end of cooking your veggies or they’ll turn to mush. Add more flavoring: use cumin, salt, pepper, garlic powder, cayenne pepper (chili powder), onion powder, lime juice. You can add black beans and corn too.
