Can you make onion rings at home without having any eggs?
Hey guys I ran out of eggs, and I have a craving for onion rings. How can you make onion rings without having an egg at your disposal?

a dip in milk, or cream/heavy cream will make the batter of flour stick nearly as well. it’s certainly doable. same process otherwise. i’d dip in the flour mixture first, then the milk before the redip. it will work well
When we make them we use either milk or buttermilk. Dip the onion into the milk and then into the flour (we put salt, pepper, and paprika in the flour) and then in the oil. If you like them extra crispy, dip in the milk then in the flour, back into the milk and then in the flour again. They always turn out yummy for us.
Onion Rings
INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)
1 quart oil for frying
1 cup dry pancake mix
1 large Spanish onion, sliced into rings
DIRECTIONS
1.Heat the oil in a large, deep skillet over medium high heat.
2.Prepare pancake mix according to package directions.
3.One at a time, dip Spanish onion rings into the prepared pancake batter, then into the hot oil. Fry until crispy and browned, about 3 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
or
ONION RING BATTER
1 egg
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sweet milk
Sliced onions
Mix all ingredients. Dip rings into batter, then put in hot fat (375 degrees) to float. Turn so they brown. Fry until golden brown. Let drain and eat.

just dip them in milk, or cream
