Does anyone have a nice whisky liqueur recipe?
I have decided to make my own alcohols out of vodka, I have made some nice white sambuca by infusing with anise, peppermint snaps and a few others.
Now I want to try whiskey liqueur. My first go did not taste nice, I tried 300mL Canadian Club, with a cinnamon stick, 1/2 vanilla pod, 10 coriander seeds, clove, nob of ginger and cardamom pod, left for three weeks, then added melted honey.
The consistency was fine, but something I added over powered it, I think it was the cinnamon. On to my second try now.
Has anyone else perfected a recipe out there? What are everyone’s tips?

1 1/2 lb Peach
1 cup Sugar
4 strips Lemon peel
2 cups 1 1/2 lb Peach
1 cup Sugar
4 strips Lemon peel
2 cups Bourbon, or whisky
basically a hommade Southern Comfort
well a short version of this is.. 2 cups Dewars Scotch, 3-4 carmel cubes, 1 teaspoon finely chopped mint leaves.. let sit in a tightly sealed container for 5 days swirling bottle every day..
makes for a very interesting whisk(e)y liqueur that your friends will ask you for every time they see you
