Does anyone have a recipe for a hard black candy that would look like pepper if you grind it?
I need something sweet that I can use on a cake that would look like pepper.

You could use Rock Candy…and then crush it to look like pepper. ROCK CANDY
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. corn syrup
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. flavored oil
Food coloring
Cook to 300 degrees first 3 ingredients. Remove from fire, add flavored oil and food coloring. Pour quickly onto greased cookie sheet. Cool slightly and cut into small pieces. Flavored oil, could be any flavor desired.
I wonder if you could but black licorice in the freezer to get hard and then grind it….
I would buy those black skinny shoestring Twizzlers, and chop them very fine.
how about those candy sticks that they sell in some gift shops, they come in many different flavors, kind of like a candy cane only without the hook part.
