Does anyone know why it has become impossible to find poppy seed bagels?
My girlfriend absolutely loves poppy seed bagels. A few months ago every brand that carried poppy seed bagels abruptly stopped carrying them. Any guesses why?
I know about the opium, but they still sell bagels with “the works”. They have poppy seeds on them still. There just aren’t any more with just poppy seeds.

I’m not really sure. I know though that since Opium is derived from Poppy, if you take a drug test (for work or athletics) you will show a positive if you have eaten a Poppy sead bagel. I applied for a job once and when I told them I had eaten a Poppy sead bagel they made me come back two days later for the drug test.
All I can think of is it being related to Opium.
Large amounts of poppy seeds make you pop positive for Opiates. (there’s a mythbusters episode proving it true). That’s the only reason i can think of.
go to safeway or tim hortons! they ALWAYS have them!
