Does tamarind have lead in it, which can lower one’s IQ level and slow one’s brain?
I am asking this because a lot of candy contain or are made from tamarind. And does this mean that tamarind is dangerous? Is it advised not to eat it?

Yes, tamarind candies have been found to have high levels of lead. I am unable to find information on whether this is still a problem or if it has been resolved. If in doubt, I would say avoid it.
