Basil grows well under special florescent greenhouse lights. You can purchase them at most all hardware stores including the big chain stores. A hydroponic indoor garden works well with herbs. You have be diligent in keeping the water at the proper level and the nutrients in the water. As with any garden your results will greatly depend on your management and inputs.
