Horseradish

Mashed Potatoes with Horseradish

Ingredients:

5 potatoes, medium
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter
pepper; freshly ground
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon horseradish
2 teaspoons parsley, minced

Peel and quarter potatoes. Cook in boiling salted water in medium-size saucepan until tender, drain.

Mash, adding 1 Tbsp. butter and the pepper.

Add sour cream, horseradish and minced parsley. Whip as for mashed potatoes.

Place in serving bowl, top with 1 Tbsp. of melted butter and serve.

Thyme, Garlic, pepper and salt. This mixture with olive oil makes everything taste good.

my fave is dill, end the easies it mix 2 tablespoons into a container or sour cream, eat with plain potatoe(sp) chips. yum yum dill dip, or mix with cream cheese spread on bread add a few cucumber slices, and you have great tea sandwiches.

Vanilla is great , I use it with natural yogurth and a little sugar.

italian seasonings, salt, pepper, parsley, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika
take some oil and rub it on chicken pieces (breast, legs, thighs) then sprinkle with all the above seasonings except the paprika. you sprinkle the paprika last all over, cover the whole piece of chicken with it, then bake in the oven on a broil pan (375) for about an hour. smells delicious when it is baking and it is soooo good! then make some mashed potatoes and corn yum! i also like vanilla, i add it to my pancake mixture or the egg mixture to make french toast. my son loves cinnamon toast, i just butter toast and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.

THYME

I love to cook stuffed pork chops!

Sautee carrots, celery, red peppers in a butter and thyme (to taste) mixture until soft. Mix in a handful of cheddar cheese, so its ‘gooey’. Use as much as you think you need.

Slice the chops in the middle, as to have a pocket. Brown the chops on either side, (I like to cook toughly), then stuff it with the veggie mix. Place in a baking dish; surround the chops with the remaining veggie mix. Sprinkle more thyme on top. Sprinkle another handful of cheese on top of the entire thing. Bake on 350 for about 20-30 min.

Enjoy! (And you have your veggies on the side as your veggie course)

garlic–take a ready made pizza crust and top with a mixture of butter, softend to room temp. and chopped garlic(the more the better, at least 1/2 c garlic and 1/2 c butter) spread very liberally on crust and top with lots of grated AMERICAN cheese then mozzarella and bake
you will never have a better garlic pizza

Garlic!!!

I like to make a garlic cream sauce –

Bulb of garlic
1/2 cup olive oil
Parmesean cheese
Heavy whipping cream

Brown the garlic in the oil, pour in the cream, stir, stir, stir, bring to a simmer, mix in cheese to thicken.

serve on rotini noodles with mild peppers.

Cinnamon. Try sprinkling some on a chicken and baking or roasting it. Gives a unique & yummy flavor.

You do know the difference between HERB and Spice do you not???
