I live in southeast ga usa and I was wondering… when is the best time to start growing herbs and what type would do well in the humidity down here??? I have a spot that gets pretty much full sun and partial shade, elevated, ph balanced and all that… but what to plant and when!!?!

Put them in right now. I’m in Central Alabama and have dill, parsley, basil, rosemary, garlic, thyme, lavender, chives, mint, cilantro and a few others. I have them in pots, some planted together in a morning sun location. The lavender is the only one I planted in the ground. I put some purple leaf basil in the ground last year and it turned into a tree that took over the space. It didn’t come back this spring though. Only thing not ready to use yet is the garlic.
