Help I need to get rid of the onion smell out of my good Tupperware?

I had a cookout a couple weeks ago and I cut onion and put it in some Tupperware in the fridge and cleaning my fridge out I opened the drawer to find.. my bowl of onions so I dumped them and washed my bowl and the smell still wont go away and my cabinets smell like onion so I soaked it in hot water and soap and still smells like onion… any suggestions to get the smell out short of throwing my tupperware away?

Clean it with lemon juice or straight white vinegar.:)

You could also try scrubbing it with baking soda paste…

Or leave them out in the sun all day…the UV rays will take out the odor as well.

Heat lemon juice in the microwave, rub it on the tupperware and let it set a little bit. It will make it lemony fresh again. This works on a stained piece also.

I’ve heard of the baking soda paste, the vinegar and the sunshine remedies.

Other customers have used a bleach/water mixture.

Also, crumpled up newspapers in the sealed container for a couple days.

Try putting baking soda in the container and then, add a slightly damp paper towel. Put the lid on and let it sit for a few days. The papertowel will somehow absorb the odor. Wash once this process is completed and the container should be good as new.
