Take some bread, spread butter on it, sprinkle with garlic salt…powder isnt really strong enough, and broil for as long as you need to get to the color you like. Be careful though becasue it can get brown fast!
Butter bread and sprinkle with garlic powder.
OR
Roast cloves of garlic and spread on toast.
Just spread butter or oil on the bread and add the garlic powder( the garlic salt may be to salty especially if you use salted butter).
If you have paprika, add some also for color.
Then just toast it in the over till the edges get brown.
Simple garlic bread.
( herbs are optional).
Oh my..I never use fresh garlic. It is SO simple to make garlic bread with garlic salt…. This is what I do… I spread a generous amount of butter or margarine on the bread, then sprinkle on some garlic salt and possible a little bit of Parmesan cheese. Toast it like you would the other way. Its great and so much easier.
A healthy hint, use white wheat bread,. and olive oil as well.
I mix the garlic powder/salt right in with my butter. Then you can test it before you spread it on your bread.
i Agree with everything the first answerer said EXCEPT the garlic salt, use garlic powder. If you have some italian style cheese, use that too and sprile some frsh craced blac pepper over the cheese
sorry, the K sticks on my Keyboard
Garlic powder will work better than the garlic salt or your garlic bread would be too salty. Just add a few teaspoons of the garlic powder to your butter. I usually use a little olive oil for flavor and to keep the butter from burning. You may also sprinkle it with paprika for color, fresh or dried herbs like oregano or minced parsley. If using dried add to your butter to hydrate the herbs. This will add additional flavor. Or try adding parmesan cheese for flavor and crunch.
Spread butter on the bread and sprinkle it w/garlic powder(I wouldn’t recommend using garlic salt) Put it under the broiler until it browns.
I melt my butter ( and for this if you can use real butter …it makes such a difference) in the mircowave ….add my garlic powder and you can either spread on you bread then toast in the oven or add after the loaf slices come out …..yummy
There is also garlic butter which you can find at any supermarket in the butter and/or dairy products section
rub the bread on a dogs bum tastes the same as garlic bread
add butter to either of those items
preheat yor oven too broil take a loaf of french bread, split it 4 ways spread butter of the slices front and back on another plate have the a mixture of the garlic powder, a bit of salt, italian seasoning,. take the slices press them open face on the plate and the put them on a sheet pan. go over them with with parmesan cheese and but them in the broiler for about 4 to 6 minutes… Garlic salt is a waste of money unless you are putting it on popcorn. Cause it’s mostly salt, not enough garlic. best wishes!!
What I would do, is combine 2 tbsp butter with 2 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp water, add 1/2 tsp garlic salt, 1 tsp garlic powder and 2 tsp parsley (just to make it purty). Bring it to a boil and brush it over the top of your bread (Taste it to make sure it’s garlicky enough first). Then broil it until nice and golden. I like to add parmesan and mozzarella right before it browns, then melt the cheeses under the broiler.
