how do I avoid reeking of garlic (not just breath)?
I love garlic. I would consume vast quantities of it…however if I eat garlic it oozes out of my pores…everywhere I can smell it on my arms, legs – whatever.
People always say eat parsley. others say wash hands with tomatoes. that only covers up the breath and hands. I need a fix for the smell permeating from my entire body.

Take a shower…lol
avoid it. even walking across garlic cloves will give you bad breathe, so you can imagine what it does out of the rest of your pores. Just hang out w/ people who eat it, too.
a wedge of lemon will also take the scent off of your hands. there are also odor tablets that you can take, i’m not sure what they’re called but you can probably find them in a pharmacy… or online. google something like internal deodorant or whatever.
there are smell free garlic pills, but if you eat the stuff there is no way of getting around the smell coming out.
Garlic Body Odour or Hyperhidrosis
Some love it–some hate it! Countless people praise its merits, while its denigrators reject it in disgust. Poor, innocent garlic is the victim of a love/hate relationship throughout history
Garlic stinks and we can blame it on alliin that is converted to allicin by the action of the enzyme allinase. When raw garlic is cut, broken, or chewed, the “fragrant” allicin releases its powerful essential oil. When cooked, garlic loses its strong odor because the enzyme allinase is destroyed, preventing its conversion to the smelly allicin. So the answer is to enjoy it cooked.
The Japanese developed a method of curing raw garlic that retains its medicinal properties and its nutrients. Canadians can purchase Leopin, while U.S. residents can find Kyolic (kyo-Leopin) in health food stores. The organically grown garlic, cured for 20 months in large vats without the use of heat, ferments naturally and loses its odor. The aged garlic is sold in liquid or tablet form and leaves no bad breath or body odor.
Free Tip: if you have a stainless steel sink, just rub your hands on it to remove the smell from your fingers before washing!
Hope this is of some help.
Consider the smell a badge of honor for eating such a healthy veggie. Tell those complaining to go to H***!
Well everyone should be eating lots of garlic because it’s so healthy, so if they DON’T smell of garlic THEY are the ones in the wrong!
