How do I clean cinnamon residue from my blender?

I have a magic bullet and I used it to grind cinnamon sticks into powder. The problem is, now it has a reddish-brown residue on it. I’ve cleaned it a few times and it’s still there. What is the best way to eliminate it? Should I soak it in soapy water overnight?
