How do I make turmeric-dyed cotton colorfast?
I dyed a cotton onesie yellow with turmeric and it’s dry now. How can I make it colorfast? I heard that vinegar does not work on cotton but only protein fibers like wool – true?

Nope, both vinegar and salt will set the dye and will work on natural fibers like cotton. I would use vinegar in a cold water rinse though in your case. The reason is that salt needs warm or hot water to fully dissolve and that will cause bleeding unless you want to wait until it fully dissolves and then wait until the water cools.
