How do I remove a mustard stain from tan carpeting?

My housekeeper spilled honey mustard sauce over an area of about a square yard of tan carpeting. Has anyone ever gone to the mat and got mustard out? I a crippled and can’t try much, she feels worse! Naturally it isnt my house.

“resolve” buy it in asupermarket

Get it professionally cleaned by a carpet cleaning place.

Use “incredible”

I know it is sold at some Krogers and Bed Bath and Beyond

It can get anything out and removes smells too

Lie down a rug. It not only looks good, but it’s confortable to lie on.

PUT 5 BIG BOTTLES OF oxy clean on it found it sams

use oxi clean spray……it works really well……i get all my stains out with it

oxi clean….it takes out everything. my son had a bloody nose and i got blood out with it..it’ll work on mustard. i use it for everything. spray it on the carpet and blot it up don’t rub…it’ll work

try chlorox bleach for colors. i put it in my carpet cleaner. does good with greese from boots

first you blotch it out, and then you use oxy clean, and then you rinse it and then it should be clean.

sprinkle baking soda on it
then slowly pour white vinegar over the baking soda, a little at a time
it will foam
after the foaming has gone down scrub…if it dosent go completly away it will at least fade it
dawn dishwashing liquid will also help

Mix 1 teaspoon mild dishwashing detergent with a cup of lukewarm water. Apply small amounts of the cleaning solution with a clean, white, absorbent towel. Blot frequently and continue to apply and blot until the staining material is no longer transferred to the absorbent material. If stain remains, mix 1/3 cup white vinegar with 2/3 cup of water. Apply using the same technique as with the detergent. If stain still remains, mix a solution of cool water and a product containing enzymes following direction on the label or box. Some laundry detergents contain enzymes. Cover the stain with a cloth drenched in the solution and allow to remain on the stain for the length of time recommended by the manufacturer. Rinse the area with clean water. Blot dry.

i had the problem as well as tar and used a small amount of lighter flulid…. the kind u use in old fasion cigarette lighters… get it at the drug store

I hate to be a killjoy but I find that mustard is one stain I can’t get out, simply because mustard takes the color out of fabrics.

palmolive dish liquid soap original green. works great on most carpet stains I detail cars and it the best thing I’ve used. good luck

PUT ANY TYPE OF CLEANSER ON THE STAIN THEN TAKE A CLOTH OR AN OLD TOWEL, WET THE TOWEL OR CLOTH PUT IT OVER THE STAIN, THEN PUT A HOT IRON ON THE TOWEL OR CLOTH THE STEAM FROM THE IRON ACTUALLY LIFTS THE STAIN UP…. IF ALL FAILS JUST PUT A RUG OVER IT.
