How do I winterize my herbs?
I live in New York, actually Long Island. I have spearmint, oregano, thyme, marjoram, lavender, rosemary, sage, basil and parsley. I know that the basil doesn’t come back and the parsley might come back every other year. I was wondering how or what to do with the other herbs. Any help would be great. Thank You

I have tons of herbs in my garden. You can’t really winterize the annual herbs since you get cold weather. All you can do is get the seeds from the annuals to plant next year and the others will come back next year. I use herbs all year round, so I plant most of my herbs in my garden and then plant some in planters so I can bring them in the winter. I know your thyme, spearment, and oregano, should come back but the others need to get the seeds.
