How do pre-peeled garlic cloves stay fresh ?
I recently bought a package of pre-peeled garlic. I only buy whole bulb before. To my biggest surprise, the pre-peeled garlics are very fresh and crisp. I’ve been using it for weeks, and it still tastes great. I noticed the roots of each clove is but off . I am guessing it might sealed by wax to keep it fresh like apple.
I am curious what’s keeping the independent cloves so fresh ?
Thanks for your answer.
