How do you add more turmeric to your diet without eating curry?
Don’t like it (curry) much but want more turmeric in my body!
Just ruined a burger with T. and so am asking this Q!
I used to add it for color for my rice…too cheap for saffron.
But now I need to add it to my diet! Possible cancer…

Just add ground turmeric! It doesn’t really have much flavor, but will add a golden color. You can add it to egg or potato salads … to scrambled eggs or omelets … try a little in meat casseroles. It definitely doesn’t taste like curry, but don’t overdo it
Rub into Chicken before roasting it. The citrus of the Turmeric works very well and obviously gives it a lovely colour.
I would suggest using it along with other spices in a rub to make grilled meats or even sprinkle it on your sauteed veggies
This may sound strange but at most drugstore they sell gelatin capsules, you can buy a package them and a bag of turmeric, and fill them at home and take 1 with every meal, if you buy the turmeric capsules at health food store they are very expensive, a package of capsules and turmeric will be under $5.00.
I do it and I also drink fengreek seed tea for my arthritic condition and have felt much better since taking both.
You can purchase turmeric capsules to take orally. I get mine on-line. I take 1000 mgs. daily and this is the maximum that my oncologist recommends. It helps reduce new blood vessel development to tumors and thus can help with some forms of cancer. Make sure you buy a capsule which also contains black pepper or your body will not absorb the turmeric – they must be ingested together for the turmeric to work. This is true if you cook with it, also.
