How do you get rid of the smell of tamarind from a refrigerator?
I bought some tamarind to make pad thai, i didn’t notice the smell at first because it filled the store. I put it in my refrigerator for about an hour and when i opened the door it smelled pretty ripe… something like intense BO… so i threw it away immediately. my refrigerator still smells and somehow the smell got into the freezer which didn’t have baking soda… it’s been a few days since that incident and neither smells much better… i’m going to increase the amount of baking soda. an other suggestions that wouldn’t contaminate my food?
