How does nutmeg effect your body and health when used as a psychedelic?
I am aware that it is a powerful psychedelic when taken in above average doses(15g or quarter cup ground), but before trying it I’d like to know how it exactly effects your body to induce the psychoactive effects, and what health risks it poses. I am also aware of the side effects the next day which resemble toxic psychosis, aka a hangover, which is the main reason i’m asking, better safe than sorry. Please do not answer if you do not know specifically or do not know from a reliable source.
I would love to know exact chemicals and how they interact with your brain if anyone out there knows, and a page describing an abused adolescent with a family history of mental illness turning into a nutmeg junkie and drinking his own piss isn’t exactly science, I am assuming after being broken down in your body some type of toxin is released and is built up while your liver tries to filter it and is somewhat harmed in the process, similiar to alcohol poisoning and filtering, but this is just an assumption and i always like to look into what goes into my body

nutmeg used in high enough doses to make you trip will sometimes damage your liver. it is due to nutmeg’s anticholinergic effects, which can cause dry mouth, tremor, inability to urinate, flushing, and psychosis. here’s a link to a case report describing someone who went crazy from using too much nutmeg and ended up drinking his own urine.
First of dude nutmeg is a deliriant.
Taking it is very complicated i tried to eat it once turned the food into a disgusting mess. I tried it and i could only stomach a small/mild effects worth. I remember it wasn’t my ballpark of drug and i had no intentions of doing it again, and i prefer hallucinogens/psychedelics. The site listed will show you the chemistry of nutmeg and the basics of it. Its great to get some legal high ideas to. I think you might like peyote, because it seems like everyone does.
idk i prefer legal psychedelics Salvia, Wild Kratom and K2 Herbal Mix
