I have herbs and spices that are 8 years old , they have been stored well, are they still good to use?

They have probably lost most of their flavor. You should replace them every 6 months or at least once a year.
As long as no moisture got into them they’re safe to use.
The flavor might diminish some however and you may get discoloration with some depending on what you have.
