How long does it take Fenugreek to start working?

I started taking Fenugreek to increase milk supply yesterday and I take 3 pills daily. I wasn’t expecting it to start working this soon, but I was just wondering how long typically takes since I have to wait for my replacement pump to get here since mine decided to quit working today and want to make sure that I’m not going to be up the river without a paddle.
Also, how will I know if it starts working without pumping? Will I be engorged or will my breasts just get bigger or will they stay the same?

It can start working as early as 24 hours, or as long as 10 days after starting it, it just depends on how the persons body reacts to it. Usually though you should be taking more pills, I take 3 pills 3 times a day (so 9 pills per day). I don’t think you will feel engorged, its a gradual change not an immediate thing like when your milk comes in. To find out if its working you can try to nurse your baby (and see if the baby nurses longer or still seems restless) or hand express milk until you get your pump. Good luck!

Also, if fenuugreek doesn’t work you can try alfalfa pills, reglan (dr prescribed) or domperidone (ordered online).
