How long to cook pork tenderloin?

I have a 1.2 lb pork tenderloin (one piece not 2) that I have seasoned with garlic and cloves. How long, what temp and how should I cook this?

Set the oven for about 350 and cook it for about an hour. If you have a meat thermometer, use that and don’t pull it out until it reaches 160 degrees Farenheit. While the meat is resting outside the oven it will still cook for about 5 to 10 more degrees.

Sear it in a hot pan with oil until lightly browned on all sides. Pop into a 375 degree oven for about 10-15 minutes. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing to keep all the juices in. Meat will be a little pink in center but it’s most delicious that way.

Liz is right. Mustang might of been thinking you meant a center cut loin which is a lot bigger that a tenderloin, but 1 hour would still be waaaay too long to cook it.

Liz is right, it cooks very fast and searing brings some flavor. If it comes out dry, you over cooked it. I always cook it in a hot skillet because i like a lot of charing. So when i have it all chared to my liking it is about done so i just turn it down and let it rest for a few mins. You could cut off an inch of it, cook that in a hot pan to see what you think .Sorry Mustange
