If 4 cups of flour plus ingredients makes 48-65 biscuits (cut dough or dropped by tablespoon), yours should make three times the amount.
Your recipe will make about 60-80 biscuits.
Heres what i think is an easier recipe for you.
My recipe will make about 20 biscuits so if you need more, just double up in quantities.
8 ounces self raising flour
pinch of salt
5 ounces butter
4 ounces caster sugar
1 beaten egg to mix
mixed spice
1.Sift flour and salt into a bowl along with 1 1/2 teaspoon mixed spice.
2.Rub in the butter and add the sugar
3.Mix to a very stiff dough with the beaten egg
4.Put onto a lightly floured surface and knead lightly
5.Wrap in foil and put in fridge for 30 minutes
6.Roll out fairly thinly and cut with a biscuit cutter
7.Prick biscuits with a fork and put on a baking tray
8.Bake at 180 C/350 F for 12-15 mins or until pale golden
9.Leave to cool
Hope this helps you!
