How often should I water my herb garden? (basil, parsley, chive, sage.)?

I’ve recently planted an herb garden. it’s about 1 week old and I planted herbs that have already grown (not seeds). They seem to be doing well and growing already, but wondering how often i should be watering them?

We have our herbs planted in a sunny afternoon location and water them every other day in the morning. It really depends on what you have them planted in or if in the ground. You want to keep the soil moist but not soaked. If they dry out they will become brittle. Good Luck.

Water in the evening, and only every other day,but don’t soak the ground. If you overwater they will either die,or become too stringy.Remember you may have to transplant some of them. Mint spreads a lot,and tries to take over.

To get the best herb plant you want you should really water every day if you have them in sun and its hot where you live. If herbs are not watered everyday they will wilt and may get wind burned. It also helps to fertilize your herbs once a week to get the best flavor.

When they look thirsty.

Water them when the soil is dry, but not parched. If you mulch them you’ll need to water them less. I mulch mine and only water them once or twice a week if it doesn’t rain. I haven’t had to water a single thing this year cause it rains every damn day!
