How soon can you apply dry rub/spices to fresh shrimp before grilling?
I am going to grill some shrimp for dinner later today. I want to add some dry rub/ spices and skewer them before grilling. Is 3 hours too long to season the shrimp before grilling, or how long before grilling is it recommended? I don’t want to kill the flavor of the shrimp itself either so I’m wondering how long they should sit with the dry rub on them before grilling.

I would go an hour tops, but even 30 min would probably give you good flavors on both sides there.
