How to remove the odor of garlic from Magic Bullet containers?

Since we got our Magic Bullet, my whole family has been thrilled to used it. My mom’s favorite use is to crush/chop garlic. I noticed, though, that despite a thorough washing, the odor of garlic remains in the container and even on the blade! It’s quite the turn off when I want to make a smoothie.

Any advice would be great!

we use fresh lemon juice to remove garlic and onion odors

agree to use lemon juice^

or soak it in hot water, and add lemon juice??

if that doesnt work, use white vinegar, it’ll clean anything and wont actually stink. it goes away. if you’re concerned about the vinegar stinking, do that and THEN soak it in the lemon-water :D

becasue an onion smoothie would defiently be gross!!!

if that doesnt work, perhaps you would consider purchasing a second MB for strictly smoothies?? you could label it as not to get confused. :)

I would recommend white vinegar. Although you think it’s a worse scent, the scent doesn’t stick and it’s used to clean everything. You’re doing double duty by using it… getting it very clean, and removing any harsh scents. Rinsing it after wards with water will get the vinegar scent out.
I would definitely lean towards this than a lemon. Lemons have a strong, and more foot printing scent and when watered down, they aren’t as effective.
