This is my recipe and we love it.

Raisin Coffee Cake

* 1 and 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
* 3/4 cup milk
* 1/2 cup raisins
* 1/4 cup sugar
* 1 egg
* 6 additional Tablespoons sugar
* 3 Tablespoons butter — melted
* 2 teaspoons baking powder
* 1 teaspoon cinnamon
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon allspice

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, sift together flour, salt, 6 Tablespoons of sugar, baking powder and allspice. Now, add the milk, egg and butter. Mix well, stirring in the raisins as you do.
Turn into a greased and floured 8-inch layer cake pan.
Mix together 1/4 cup of sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over the top of the cake.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until it passes the toothpick test.
