I hear Cinnamon is good for your memory is this true?

Even the cheap dollar store brand cinnamon container is actually good for you?

Any other spices you know of (that are common and easy to find) that are good for memory and concentration?

mint is also good to increase memory

there is nothing to improve memory except using it; come on, don’t kid yourself; work your brain; like any muscle, the brain also follows the rule: “Use it or Lose IT”;

what I know about cinnamon, aside from it being a spice and it is great with hot coffee, it is good against diabetes – it helps regulate the blood sugar level;

I can’t remember.

I think I heard that before I don’t remember.

Cinnamon and peppermint are good. Be careful applying the oil since they can cause an allergic reaction to the skin when applied in a pure form. The cheaper the oil the more it has other additives in it. Find out what they are and what percent is pure oil. Also find out where the oil is made and how it is made, could have some chemicals in it you would not want on your skin. Go to a health food store. There are reference books there along with good quality oils.

It’s good to use when you are cooking apples and therefore probably good for you. All good healthy tasty food is going to improve your health and your wellbeing. There is no magic ingredient as you need to eat a variety. Eating more fruit and vegetables is highly recommended. Eating more fish can also be of benefit. For memory and concentration you need to be motivated as well as healthy but most of all you need to knuckle down and do it. By doing you will improve. Exercise helps by increasing the oxygen in our bodies. You need to take occassional breaks when concentrating. the recommended is about 5 minutes each hour but you can ajust this to suit your temperament. It’s a learning experience.

Hi Okami, interesting….I never knew that cinnamon is good for memory

I know, that cinnamon works to help you with you’re heartburn by lowering the acidity of the stomach. Thus reducing the risk of ulcers in the lower esophagus in the moment of backflow of digestive juice from stomach, also effects of cinnamon as an anti-inflammatory agent, as an anti-oxidant agent and an agent able to lower cholesterol, triglycerides, and glucose, and improve the functioning of insulin, but, for memory …. I doubt it.

1. Caffeine can play an important role in boosting your memory
2. Ginko Biloba has been proven to improve circulation to the brain,improving memory.
3. Rosemary works as a way of stimulating the brain. Keeping the brain stimulated is essential in making certain that memory is working correctly.

5. Green tea is becoming a natural cure for many ailments or conditions. It’s thought to have a positive effect on memory function and along with black tea when consumed in moderation seems to help in optimizing a person’s ability to remember.
6. Ginseng also seems related to improved memory function.
