Is it OK to eat ornamental ginger?
I have some white ginger, some yellow ginger, some kahili ginger, not officially edible ginger but can you eat them anyway? Is it harmful or merely not tasty?

It’s ginger. Ginger is edible. It’s just not usually proper etiquette to eat garnesh at a meal.
Ornamental ginger? I’m not in the habit of thinking of ginger as pretty. If it’s ginger and has not been sprayed or otherwise coated with anything poisonous, you can eat it if you want to.
probably just not tasty, raw ginger which is candied(sweet) has a zing but is quite tasty. If it is only ornamental then it is probably raw and so strong it might burn(as in spicy) your mouth.
The ornamental gingers are not the same species as the spice ginger so it would not provide the same taste. They may actually make you sick.
