Is my tattoo healing properly?
I recently got a new tattoo (I have one already but was done lots of years ago) and I am not sure that it is healing properly. It has been 9 days since I got it. It is a saying and it has 4 stars intertwined. The script is black and the stars fade from orange to yellow. Two of the stars look great and barely scabbed over. The other two stars have scabbed completely over and look really discolored and faded. They did have more ink leek from them then the other two which probably caused the scabbing. I am nervous that they will not match the other two stars. I am sure that I am just freaking out about it, but will be pissed if I have to go get it fixed when it is brand new. I am also confused why two of the stars are fine and two are not. I followed all the proper care.
Can anyone let me know if this is normal and also if will heal ok? Is there anything else that I should be doing? I loved it when I got it and it is so pretty, I just am so nervous that it won’t look good when completely healed.

When I got a color tattoo on my inner forearm, I followed the aftercare instructions to a T and it looked like absolute sh*t during healing. The entire thing scabbed and looked all wrinkly and cracked and dull. The top part that was closer to my wrist healed faster; the parts closer to the crook of my elbow healed last, I’m guessing because that part of my arm moves more from me bending my elbow and such.
Anyway! It looked horrible for about two weeks, but I kept applying my lotion and once all the dead skin flaked off it looked just like it did when I got it done. I’ve had it for seven months now and it still looks incredible.
So I’m sure yours will be fine. It’s still very fresh, so keep taking care of it and give it some time to look like crap and heal up some more.
ur fine.. u just gotta keep it moist and let it heal. Dont fuss over it too much. u have to just wait and see after it heals
