you can use cinnamon or coffee grounds. I heard this a while back and wanted to get rid of the ants so bad, I mixed the two together….don’t know why but they worked well!

If you have ants in your home here is what I suggest and it is a sure foolproof method.

Take equal amounts of baking soda and confectioner’s sugar and put it around your home in small paper plates or jar covers.

Not sure what you mean about vinegar to wipe or clean (??)

I have found a great way to keep ants out. Mix some borax (you can get it at the grocery … 20 mule team borax will work). with a bit of powdered sugar. Place the mixture along where the ants are getting in, like a window sill or door frame. The ants are attracted to the sugar, and the ants will carry the borax back to the nest. They will not cross over the mixture into the house either. Good luck!

I don’t know about peppermint oil, but Cinnamon does the trick too. You just sprinkle cinnamon on the windowsill, or wherever the ants enter, and they won’t go that way again.

Something in the cinnamon is toxic to them…
