Is peppermint tea supposed to taste bad?

I have heard that mint teas are good for stomach cramps, stomach aches and overall digestion. I went and bought some to try it out but I just couldn’t handle the taste. I’ve never been much of a tea or coffee drinker but this was just unbearable. I couldn’t even finish half the cup. So is peppermint tea an acquired taste or did I not make it properly? Also, does anyone know if there are mint powders or pills to take as a substitute?

If its too strong it tastes bad too me maybe
you steeped it too long it really has to be
perfect not to week or it wont work.
Better yet try ginger tea that works well
for tummy problems or candied ginger
you can suck on or eat.

Herbal mint tea is very mild. I don’t know what brand you have, but, believe me, it shouldn’t taste bad. How long did you leave the tea bag in?? It can get bitter if it’s too strong. Also, put a little honey or sugar in it.

It shouldn’t taste bad… it should taste like peppermint!
Maybe you made it too strong.
It doesn’t take long for peppermint tea to brew (maybe one minute for one cup)… so be sure to keep an eye on it.
Peppermint itself is naturally strong, and if the tea is too strong (or even too weak) it can be a bit bitter.
Also, try putting some sugar or honey in it to make it sweeter.

it depends on rather you like peppermint or not.i do not like it
