Is there a quick recipe for garlic bread I can make with stuff I already have in my kitchen?

I have:
- Whole wheat bread
- Garlic
- Butter
- and other random things.

I think this is all I need but I don’t know how to do it.

Any tips?

Cut the bread in half length wise. Spread with butter, put on the garlic. I also add parsley and parmesan cheese, but it isn’t necessary. Bake at 350 until done.

This is a good recipe, replace whatever you have (for example bread) with the recipe ingredients. If you don’t have oregano, either don’t use it, or use any other dry herb you have.

“Quick and scrumptious garlic bread that will complement any Italian meal. Melted mozzarella is optional, but delicious!”

Ingredients:
1 (1 pound) loaf Italian bread
5 tablespoons butter, softened
2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon dried oregano
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:
1. Preheat the broiler.
2. Cut the bread into slices 1 to 2 inches thick.
3. In a small bowl, mix butter, olive oil, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper. Spread the mixture evenly on the bread slices.
4. On a medium baking sheet, arrange the slices evenly and broil 5 minutes, or until slightly brown. Check frequently so they do not burn.
5. Remove from broiler. Top with cheese and return to broiler 2 to 3 minutes, until cheese is slightly brown and melted. Serve at once.

crush the garlic and sear it in a pan on the stovetop for a few minutes. then take it off the stovetop and mince it. melt the butter in the microwave and pour it over the bread. sprinkle that with the minced garlic, and if you have any onion powder you can sprinkle that over it as well. put the slices of bread on a baking sheet and put in the oven at 350 degrees until toasted, around 10 minutes

Let butter get soft. (Don’t melt it or it won’t spread well.) Mix in garlic. If you have an Parmesean cheese or some dried parsley, mix that in as well. Spread onto bread and toast.

You can melt the butter in a pot and add the garlic. Let it sit over warm heat for about 10 minutes. If the bread is in slices just toast the slices in the toaster and spoon on butter and garlic. If it is a loaf, half it lengthwise and put it under the broiler until toasted and then spoon on garlic butter. Toast the bread first though because garlic will burn under a broiler.

Quick Garlic Toast
INGREDIENTS
1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
12 slices bread
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS
Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Cut each slice in half; place plain side down on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with garlic salt and Parmesan cheese. Broil 4 in. from the heat for 1-2 minutes or until lightly browned.

Butter the bread and add the garlic on top of the butter. Place the bread in the broiler until it is browned. You can turn it over and brown the other side if you like.
When I make-shift my garlic bread with regular bread, I just brown the one side. I use garlic powder or garlic salt on mine.
Good Luck and enjoy.

Ingredients

* 2 (4-inch) whole-wheat pita breads
* 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
* 1 large garlic clove, peeled and halved
* 4 teaspoons grated Parmesan
* 1/8 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon paprika
* 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Directions

Position rack about 6 inches from the broiler and preheat broiler. With a small knife, cut a slit about 2 inches long in the side of both pitas. With your fingers, pry apart the 2 pita halves. If the pita is being stubborn, microwave it for about 30 seconds to soften it up. Lightly brush the rough side of the 4 pita halves with olive oil and then rub with the garlic clove. Cut each pita into quarters. Arrange the pitas in a single layer on a cookie sheet. Evenly sprinkle the pitas with the Parmesan, salt, paprika, and oregano. Place under the broiler and broil for 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown.

Here is the easy way…..my bf LOVES this stuff!
soften your butter, and crush (or mince super fine) your garlic. I use about 1/2 stick of butter to approximately 1/2 to 1 tsp. garlic. Add herbs. Oregano and basil work very well. I also add fresh ground pepper, garlic powder, garlic salt, season salt, just whatever you have around. Make sure it’s not tooo salty though! Spread bread thick with the butter mixture. Broil for just a couple minutes, 3 or so, till butter is melted, and bread is toasted. Enjoy!
ps. if using Parmesan cheese, mix in with butter mixture. If using mozzarella, i generally mix everything BUT the butter together, spread bread with butter, and place cheese mixture on top.
