Looking for the Jamaican Black Pepper Shrimp Recipe from Cheesecake Factory?
I’ve done an online search for the Jamaican Black Pepper Shrimp recipe from Cheesecake Factory… the recipes I have found online are not close to this dish. So I called CF and asked for the ingredients (since they won’t give out the recipe) and this is what I was able to get:
Canola oil
“Caribbean spice”
Seasoned rice flour
Shrimp
Black pepper (duh – lol)
Butter
Cilantro
I’m pretty certain the Caribbean spice blend contains Jamaican allspice, ginger, coriander, either habanero or scotch bonnet peppers, nutmeg, garlic, onion, thyme, and quite possibly a small dash of cinnamon… However, I’m not certain.
Does anyone out there work at CF or knows someone who works at CF and can get the exact recipe (ingredient amounts and directions)?!? PLEASE!!!

The only thing that I can offer you is this……
There is a really great web site that “cracks” restaurant recipes. The guy’s name is Todd Wilbur and he’s been doing this stuff for years. I have a few of his books and I love his recipes, they taste great just like the restaurant versions.
Here’s the site. They may have your recipe or you can suggest it. Good Luck!
JAMAICAN HOT PEPPER SHRIMP
ingredients
4 cups water
1/2 cup chopped scallion
4 garlic cloves, crushed
3 fresh thyme sprigs
3 fresh Scotch bonnet or habanero chiles, halved and seeded
2 tablespoons salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
10 whole allspice
1 lb large shrimp in shell (21 to 25 per lb)
preparation
Combine all ingredients except shrimp in a 4-quart heavy pot and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, covered, 20 minutes.
Stir in shrimp, making sure they are just covered by liquid, and remove pot from heat. Cool shrimp in liquid to room temperature, uncovered, about 1 hour. Transfer shrimp with a slotted spoon to a plate or bowl and drizzle some of cooking liquid on top.
