Meatloaf stuffed with a large dill pickle?
Has anyone had any experience making a meatloaf in a loaf pan with a very large dill pickle inside? I had a recipe for it but lost it. I can’t remember if there was some kind of trick to it or not. When you sliced the meatloaf there would be a slice of dill pickle in the middle of the meatloaf slice. I thought it might be a fun thing to make for my Holloween supper. LIke a pickle in a costume….

Often people put a boiled egg in meatloaf so same concept.
Just make your meatloaf, put half in the pan, add in your pickle/s, put rest of loaf on top and squish it together and bake.
OH my gosh, PC, I can’t answer this as a recipe, but it sure does sound HELLACIOUSLY SEXY!!!!!!!!!!!!

edit: I just KNEW it was only a matter of time before someone would come up with the Dill DOH thingy. LOL
Well I never heard of the pickle, but certainly a couple of hard boiled eggs is pretty common. There is not a trick or recipe really…just place the cooked eggs, (minus the shells of course) in the center of the raw meat when you form the LOAF of your meatloaf.
It pretty attractive to see the slice of egg in the slice of meatloaf with the top being coated in a red colored tomato based sauce. (notice i am not offering any recipe here as there are as many meatloaf recipes as there are grains of rice) Gud Luck!
