Well, my first question is…how long has she been eating food, and did you start out with one food at a time for a week to make sure she doesn’t have any food allergies?
By doing this allows you to see if one particular food may cause a reaction. If you didn’t, it could be difficult and you’ll be exposing her to the one food she’s allergic the most.
What are you giving her daily and what are you doing with her before she breaks out for the 30 minutes?
CALL HER DOCTOR!
First off, don’t give her anything with any type of spices in it, especially at that age, it’s not recommended. That can trigger a skin reaction or internal reaction. Also avoid giving her onions and even garlic because they have irritants that can upset her stomach and her intestines. The other things are fine. The other problem is that spices and seasonings can cause digestive issues, her digestive tract is still developing, and is very sensitive.. which is why it’s not a good idea to give babies under one dairy products.. for the same reason. She can get diarrhea, she can get acid reflux and a few other things that are digestive tract related. And on top of that, if she is getting anything that’s been salted.. she can also get high blood pressure. Bland is good for babies!
With that said, do the little spots appear where she had food on her face? My daughter got spots and redness on her face after she ate anything with spices or zest -like mustard or barbecue sauce, between the ages of 15 to 21 months, but she outgrew it -she’s now just over two years old. Certain things will trigger a temporary skin reaction, and with your daughter having eczema, her skin is already sensitive, and so she’s more prone to having skin reactions. It’s not eczema related per-se.. but it’s resulting as a side affect of her eczema.
Sounds like an allergy to me.
I would not feed her anything with that many ingredients like your soup. If you are not sure about allergies. Start from the beginning with rice cereal (no milk!) and potatoes as those have a low allergy risk. Then add one new thing every 5 days. This is how you find out what she is allergic to.
Does someone in your home have a scratchy beard? My son gets a rash on his face whenever it touches his dad’s face.
Your daughter might be allergic to something she is coming in contact with. Might be laundry detergent or fabric softner?
You should be able to feed her that soup if it doesn’t have large chunks of anything. She might be allergic to a single ingradient. It’s all trial and error.
