Prevent the feeling from eating a hot pepper?

I have heard there is something a person can take (not pepto bismal) before eating hot peppers that makes them not hot. It also helps the stomach and relieve of any pain caused from the pepper. Is there such a pill, drug, or liquid that does this? If so, is it perscription or can I find it anywhere?

I know an Italian family that eats a tsp of sugar before and after but I say, why then even eat the pepper?

try chewing fresh mint!!!!!it should help

Banana and maple syrup work for me, and its heavenly too!

Milk, Sour cream, ice cream. It neutralizes the capsaicin in the pepper. If you eat a hot pepper and find it’s too hot, drink milk, eat ice cream etc. Aside from its wonderfulness, it’s one of the reasons many Mexican dishes are served with sour cream. If handling hot peppers, wear gloves, and if you don’t have gloves, wash your hands with milk afterwards, and above all, don’t touch your eyes!! Other “sensitive” parts can be affected by pepper residue so be sure to “go” before you start chopping.
