Turmeric stains: How do you get them out? Surely there has to be something that removes this stubborn spice?
I have the exhilarating task of stain removal in our home – yes, I’m laundry Queen – and I can’t think of a single thing that removes turmeric. Does anyone out there know how to remove this stain?

Have you tried Era? It works great on almost any organic stain as it is protein based. Usually I just have to let it sit for an hour. I keep a bottle in my laundry room in a squirt bottle for stain treatment. I have done like they do on the commercial and written words on stains and they really do come out. Good Luck!
If ERA or ERA PLUS doesn’t work, you are stuck! What it doesn’t get out, it sets in. I don’t know of anything you could do. You could take it to the dry cleaners and tell them you need the spot removed: Spot means it hasn’t been washed yet. STAIN means you washed it and it is still there. IF you haven’t washed the item yet, the dry cleaners has spot removers that should work. Tell them to just wash it when they get the spot out. (Turmeric is like a dye, it will be hard to remove with household items. Dry cleaners have a spot remover called Tannon, not sure of the spelling, that should get it out.)
