What are some good spices to put on chicken?
Lately I’ve been bringing my lunch to work. I’ll buy chicken breasts and cook them on the stove then shred them up for my sandwiches. My question is, what kind of seasonings should I put on them to make them taste better?

i always love seasoning salt its delicious!!! or soak them in garlic butter
Fresh tarragon or rosemary (in the cooking), basil in the sandwiches.
101 million things you can do with chicken. I like lemon pepper. You can do your green herbs, like basil ETC. Try a slice of avocado and swiss on it…mmmm good.
Another place to look is foodnetwork.com
old bay
mexican seasoning
fresh rosemary and garlic
if you saute them, peanut oil works well. you can also go to the asian aisle and get one of the flavored oil for the woks.
I like rosemary, and thyme on my chicken!
Sage, Thyme, Rosemary, Garlic, etc.
I like garlic and rosemary. Thyme or oregano is good. Lemon pepper is nice on chicken. There’s a seasoning combination you can buy at the store that’s called Montreal Chicken. That’s good too. It’s made by McCormick. Hope that helps you out.
I use adobo a spanish spice that is not hot.
meat tenderizer HA
Lemon pepper, basil, thyme, rosemary, salt and pepper, McCormicks grills seasoning, etc.
idk… i know salt is good on chicken so maby if u soak it in a light salt water first ittle get the salt taste in it so you dont have 2 worry about salting it after you shred it or taking salt to work with u…. ketchup is good depening on how its cooked so perhaps mix tomatoe juice or ketchup with water and soak it in that? idk ive never tried this b4… i dont usually worry bout that stuff lol
You know, I used to always try a bunch of complicated seasoning ideas, and it really just came out muddled, if you know what I mean. So I think some good advice is to keep it simple.
I absolutely love thyme chicken. I just season with salt, pepper, and dried thyme, and then brown it up. It’s really good, and healthy. Seasoning salt is also a good flavor, but go easy on it, a little goes a long way. Or try a simple black peppered chicken (freshly cracked is a must for this). You can also try a zesty lemon chicken- marinate in lemon juice, rub with some zest, salt, pepper, and thyme (yes, thyme again, but it’s just so good), and brown it up.
You can also try something different with a topping- like a wasabi, chipoltle, or lemon mayo. And change things up with the rest of the sandwich too- for example, instead of regular bread, try frying up a couple thin corn cakes, put your chicken in the middle, and replace the usual condiments with honey. Yum!
I hope this gave you some ideas. Enjoy your lunch!
