Pepper ? Because it is cheap… it depends on the recipe… but all use Salt & Pepper

But in ingredients… GARLIC & ONION is used a lot to give extra flavor…

This is used because they are grown in the region. and are produced cheaply

More of the tradional meals have some Peppers that come from the Latin America but grown in Euskal Herria the word we use to call them is Ezpeletako biperra..

In most Basqué food you won’t find Potatoes… this is because all the ´things´ like potatoes that grow in the ground here will kill your or make you very sick. so Chips are the only potatoe found in Basque Tapas…
