What can substitute for sage in cornbread dressing?
I am in the middle of making chicken and dressing and just realized i’m out of sage. Besides onion, salt and pepper, what seasoning could I use?

Rosemary and thyme is a classic combination. Rosemary is best fresh. While it dries out, it looses a lot of its flavor.
Creamed garlic would work well…
I like parsley.
But anything mild like oregano would be good. Rosemary or celery seed would be good in small amounts, I bet.
