What color of hair is actually considered ginger?

Okay, I’ve wondered this for awhile. Redheads. They can fit into so many categories just like any other color of hair. One of these categories is a ginger. What exactly is that color? Does it mean literally, the color of the ginger root? – I sort of doubt it. Also, does it come with a texture?

I must say now though that I don’t enjoy racism. If you have any sort of outright hatred or dislike for redheads you are completely wrong and are grouping together a category and filling them with your jumped to assumptions and false accusations.

I don’t really think that they are talking about the actual “ginger root” when they say someone’s hair is a ginger color, I think they are talking like a burnt orange color when they say someone’s hair is ginger. Or atleast that’s what I think they are refering too, anyway.
