What is a good recipe for making garlic bread and deviled eggs?
Tomorrow I want to make garlic bread and some deviled eggs. I already have some white and brown eggs I can boil, and I have some fancy italian bread. What is a good recipe for making decent garlic bread, and yummy deviled eggs? (Its for my mom, so i’m willing to go and buy things.)
Thanks for your ideas! I’ll leave this open so I get alot of answers.

garlic bread is awesome when made with fresh garlic! Mix several cloves of garlic (minced, or put thru a garlic press) with enough butter to spread on the bread. You can vary the amount of garlic depending on how much you love garlic! (for a large loaf we would probably use at least 6 good-sized cloves (probably more), but we really love garlic… most people would find that pretty strong!) I’d suggest starting with 3-4 big cloves with 1/2c softened butter.
For the eggs, some mayo, powdered mustard, salt and pepper is all I use, then a little sprinkle of paprika on top once they are filled to look pretty. The amounts depend on how many eggs… and I just do it to taste anyway…
Deviled Eggs,
Slice boiled egg in half
Mash yolk and add in some mayo, salt and pepper, drop of prepared mustard and mix well
Put mixture into egg whites, chill
Garlic bread
Finely chop 6 cloves of garlic
Mix garlic into 4 Tbsp softened butter
Spread on italian bread
Place under broiler, broil until bubbly
For my deviled eggs I like mayonnaise a little mustard, minced sweet pickle relish and salt/pepper.
For my garlic bread I add garlic powder and minced parsley to a softened cube of butter. Slather the bread and broil.
minced garlic
freshed chopped chives
butter
mix well. then apply.
hard boiled egg, mashed
mayo
salt and pepper
curry powder.
mix well. then apply
Garlic Bread-
1 French Baguette
1 Stick of Butter
6-8 cloves of garlic (chopped)
Melt butter in a sauce pan. Add garlic and simmer for 10 mins on low heat. Slice garlic bread on an angle and genorously brush garlic butter over the sliced bread. Add mozzarella for cheesy garlic bread. Bake in oven on 350 until toasted and cheese it melted and lightly browned.
Deviled Eggs –
1 doz boiled eggs, halved and yoke removed – set aside in a bowl.
In bowl of yokes, add:
!/2 cup mayo
2 teaspoons paprika
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp Dijon Mustuard
1 tsp Horseradish Sauce
Mix well until smooth and either spoon back into the whites of the eggs or with a pastry pipe, pipe them into the whites. These eggs are a hit at every family event I have. Hope you enjoy!
Deviled Eggs:
Boil about 8-10 minutes
Chill in cold water for 5 min
Peel and rinse, then slice long ways
Scoop out and mush all the yolks together in a bowl.
Add mayo, mustard, salt, pepper, and sweet relish…depends on how
many you make has to how much of the ingredients to use, it
should blend into a nice light creamy mixture.
Spoon back into eggs and top lightly with tumeric.
Garlic Bread:
Slice your loaf of Italian bread diagonally making 3/4 in thick slices, but not sliced all the way through so to trap in the ingredients.
Put butter, garlic powder, chives and/or parsley, and shredded cheddar between each slice. Bake at 450 till golden brown or cheese is bubbly.
