What is the best way to freeze fresh herbs and spices?
I have heard before that you can freeze fresh herbs and spices. I cook for one so I don’t use herbs very much, and I would like to know the best way to store them and keep from wasting. Thanks!
I like the fridge response from keep it loud, but approximately how long will they stay fresh this way? Thanks!

Hi – I always feeze mine
If you have a lot, don’t freeze it all together, seperate it into portions and put in small food/freezer bags or plastic tubs, then you can just a take a portion out each time you need it for a recipe
Hope this helps x
I like the Rachel Ray way. To keep them fresh in your fridge you take a damp paper towel, wrap your herbs in it and then just put it in a zip-lock bag and put it in your fridge.
You may be able to do the same for the freezer.
You really want the best way? Liquid nitrogen.
You want the best way that you can do? I would say put them into a plastic bag, force all the air out and freeze.
I saw some of these tips on a cooking show. Also, in step #4, the chef just put a few sprigs of the herb in an ice cube tray and filled it with water. Then into the freezer. No need to puree.
